Figures of Island Visitors Sees Steady Increase
A recent survey has shown steady growth for the Isle of Man’s visitor numbers over the past year.
The figures confirm that the Island saw a 4.3% increase in visitor figures throughout 2009 with over 287,000 non-Island residents making the trip.
An increase of just under 6% was also recorded of people who made use of paid accommodation, boding well for the Island’s hotels.
As a result of the increase many millions of pounds have been circulating around the Island benefiting especially the Accommodation Sector, Air and Sea Carries, Bars and Restaurants.
However despite the increased numbers to the Island, figures of people leaving have seen a sharp 9.3% decrease.
