The Island's Infrastructure Minister says more passengers at the airport mean longer security waiting times - despite a drop in passenger figures.
Ray Harmer MHK faced questions about the queues from North Douglas MHK David Ashford in Tynwald yesterday.
He told the court the airport was a victim of its own success - but the last month statistics are available for is August, when scheduled flights at Ronaldsway fell by 24 per cent and passengers fell by 0.4 per cent compared to 2016.
Mr Harmer denied the airport was understaffed and said the DOI is planning improvements.
