Motorists Urged To \'Think Of The Mourning After\'
This year’s festive season anti drink drive campaign is being launched today with motorists urged to not drink and drive as the consequences could be fatal.
This years strap lines for the campaign are 'I should have crashed out at my mates last night' and 'Think of mourning after'.
The imagery for the campaign focuses on a crash scene taken from Manx Police archives.
Motorists are being urged to plan their nights out and totally avoid getting behind the wheel after consuming alcohol, as only a small amount can still affect your driving, and reactions.
The Road Safety Team will be out in force over the coming month promoting the campaign and reminding the public of the robust line that the constabulary take on those caught over the legal limit.
The penalties for drinking and driving can include a fine of upto £5,000, disqualification and a possible prison sentence.
