The Steam Packet company says the Ben my Chree is helping with a rescue operation in the Irish Sea this lunchtime.
A short time ago, the vessel was contacted by the coastguard to respond to a Mayday as she travelled to Heysham.
The incident involves a leisure craft, but no further details have been released.
The Steam Packet says as a result, the vessel will arrive later than planned - and an update will be issued shortly.
