Relationships between a new shipping line and the harbour authorities are not rocky.
That’s according to the Ellan Vannin Line which says, despite recent speculation, the company has had a number of productive meetings.However the company does admit it has refused to pay for repair work to the berth in Douglas which it wants to use – saying it won’t pay for damage caused by someone else.
Last week it was revealed that there will also be a delay in launching the new freight and passenger service with things now set to get underway next year.
