There is now fencing at the Point of Ayre to protect the nesting area of two specialised birds.
Police are warning residents to avoid the fenced areas, as there is a risk of being attacked by parent birds.
Dogs also must be kept on leads until the end of August.
Officers are reminding the public that taking photographs of the birds attacking is an offence, with penalties up to £10,000.
