Manx Telecom customers in Laxey could be left without service this weekend.
It follows damage to the bridge in the lower part of the village which collapsed on Thursday after heavy rain.
The bridge carries major network connections and if it collapses fully could cause “irreparable damage” to fibers and copper cables.
This would leave 300 fixed line numbers without service until it can be repaired.
MT is now offering a call divert option for anyone affected – this can be set up by calling 624624.
