A three-month police operation across 27 locations in the north of the Island caught just seven speeders.
Officers from the Northern Neighbourhood Policing Team carried out speed checks in places suggested by social media users in April.
Since then, 40 drivers have been stopped, with seven given fixed penalty notices for speeding.
They say the surprisingly low number is because people slow down when they see officers, and some motorists warn others by flashing their lights.
