A local farmer has asked 'lynch parties to stand down' following a social media uproar.
It's over a photo posted on a Facebook group earlier this week of a man who appeared to clip a wire fence at Conker Fields in Ramsey.
The resident farmer posted to the platform himself last night saying he inspected the area and damage to the fence is minimal.
He says it doesn't reflect the good nature and behaviour of the majority of fans who go to the area to watch the races.
The farmer added a request to respect the fences and land around the TT ocurse.
