The Island's Family Library in Douglas is aiming to continue some of its services despite being closed.
The facility shut its doors as a precaution against Coronavirus, however but is hoping to bring in new practices by next Monday (March 30) so children, young people and the elderly can still use it's services.
It's looking into a number of ideas including 'Library Porch' where people can request items and collect them, creating activities boxes filled with books, DVD's and games as well as holding webinar sessions online.
Chairman, Kurt Roosen, says the missions is to continue maintaining a high level of service to the community which could be offered without charge on a 'best endeavour basis'.
