Nationalists are urging people to wear masks and observe social distancing at an annual commemoration event.
The Illiam Dhone commemoration will go ahead on January 2 at Hango Hill in Castletown from 2pm.
Mec Vannin and the Celtic League, which organise the event, say it'll be a shorter commemoration than usual because of coronavirus.
They're asking people to take precautions if they plan to attend the introduction, wreath laying and National Anthem singing, and this year there'll be no gathering after the event.
