Treasury Minister Chris Thomas says the Manx government has told the UK imposing extra charges on ferries would seriously affect our transport links.
In Tynwald this week, he faced questions from Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse about a new emissions scheme targeting ferries.
Mr Thomas said changes planned for July wouldn't have any effect here, but possible changes in 2028 might see extra costs imposed on Island passengers.
He said we'd clearly laid out the Manx position to the UK government:
Two Sunday ferry sailings cancelled and two more at risk
Racers' leather company in liquidation
Two Saturday ferries cancelled, four rescheduled
