A man serving a two and a half year sentence for trying to rob a chemist at knifepoint has had another 20 weeks added to his jail term.
Paul Sunday Akinmurele of James Road in Castletown was imprisoned last week - but appeared in court again on Tuesday to face further charges.
He admitted being drunk and disorderly and possessing a knife on September 1, and damaging a police van and cell on the same date.
The 45 year old also pleaded guilty to another charge of criminal damage on September 6 and one of provoking behaviour on July 14.
The court heard he’d walked into an unlocked house in Castletown at 10.30pm and shouted at a man he knew who lived there.
High Bailiff Jayne Hughes jailed him for a total of 20 weeks, which will be added to his current sentence.
Noting he had almost £300 in unpaid fines, she ordered him to serve another 21 days concurrently.
