The closure of the Mountain Road has been extended.
The highway, which has been shut since 9.45am this morning, will now remain shut until at least 6pm on Sunday.
This is due to snow and ice on the stretch from the poor weather experienced on Island today.
A yellow weather warning for lying snow will also be in force until Noon tomorrow.
