GCSE and A-Level students on the Island could face delays getting their results this year, because of strike action.
77 per cent of UNISON members at the UK's largest exam board AQA, which is widely used on the Isle of Man, have voted to walk out in a row over pay.
That could mean disruption to exam marking and grades being sent out this year - students are due to get their A-level results on Thursday, August 13 with GCSE results a week later.
UNISON's North West regional organiser Jane Warburton says the action could be avoided if AQA enters talks to resolve the dispute.
