Event bosses told to make inflatable safety a priority

Event organisers are being urged to check the safety of inflatable equipment:

 
Health and safety legislation applies to the supply, hire and use of inflatables for commercial purposes at things like fairs and fun days. 
 
Organisers are being urged to hire the equipment from reputable companies which have public liability insurance of at least two million pounds. 
 
They're also being told to ensure the inflatables aren't used in unsuitable weather like high winds - last year a child had to be rescued from the sea in Douglas after a bouncy castle blew in.
