Environmentalists Aim to Cut Down Island\'s Plastic Bag Use
The Isle of Man is to host a no plastic bag day tomorrow, as a campaign gets underway to significantly cut down the number being shipped to the Island year on year.
As it stand 5 million bags are sent over every year.
Environmentalists have expressed their fears that the amount of bags on such a small Island is potentially hazardous to both the wildlife and the environment.
Members of
the group Zero waste Mann will be stationed at Strands Shopping Centre with the
environmentally friendly bags to hand out.
