As work continues on Pulrose Bridge, a pedestrian route is expected to be re-established by the end of the month.
A spokesperson from the Department of Infrastructure says they can't currently offer a safe route for pedestrians through the works, but anticipate a route directly across the bridge will be in place from Friday November 26.
Until then, a diversionary path between Pulrose and Peel Road is signposted via Groves Road and Bowl Car Park.
The DOI recognises this causes inconvenience to residents, but can't allow pedestrian access until it's safe.
