End of Health Agreement Could be Bad for Tourism Says MHK
The date for the meeting over the reciprocal health agreement has been set for next week the 19th January.
In the meeting DHSS Minister Eddie Teare and Chief Minister Tony Brown will endeavour to make UK Health Minister Andy Burnham reverse his decision to end the agreement at the end of March.
As a knock on Manx residents will be without health cover when visiting the UK, leaving them open to the possibility of vast medical bills should they take ill. MHK David Cannan says aswell as affecting the public it could potentially affect Tourism on the Island also. (AUDIO ABOVE)
