The government is reminding employers they can support staff with the rising cost of living by offering vouchers to be exchanged for goods.
Legislation means that gifts, rather than monetary payments, can be given to employees without being subject to income tax and National Insurance deductions.
The exemption is based on £600 per employee, per employer.
