Emergency services team-up to search for missing 78-year-old

A 78-year-old man is still missing from the Douglas area.

Joseph Rice has been missing from Ballanard Court, at the bottom of Johnny Watterson’s Lane, since Tuesday 17th January.

Officers worked together with teams from the Civil Defence, Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service, Coastguard and Isle of Man Search and Rescue Dogs yesterday to try and locate him.

Drones were also used during the search.

Residents in the surrounding area of Ballanard Court are being asked to re-check their gardens, sheds and cars and to call 631212 or dial 999 if Mr Rice is found.
