Firefighters were called to a house in Onchan this morning.
Crews arrived at the scene of the kitchen fire at around 8am - the blaze had been put out but the building was smoke-logged.
The Fire and Rescue Service says the householders evacuated safely and were unharmed.
It says the incident highlights the importance of having smoke alarms in your home.
