Emergency Services were called out yesterday following reports of a fire in the north of the Island.
Just after 10am fire crews from Ramsey and Laxey went to a smoke logged home at Gibbs Park in Ramsey.
When they arrived - a breathing apparatus team entered the home and found the blaze was confined to the kitchen.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames using a high pressure hose reel.
