An emergency closure was enforced at 11:40.
It's shut from the Hairpin to the bungalow.
Police say it's for the recovery of a broken down motorcycle but they needed to close the road to do this due to the high volume of traffic.
The emergency services joint control room say it will be closed till at least 12:30.
