Douglas Council's used emergency powers to cut down trees after it was found they posed a risk to homes.
Local authority workers took the trees on Baldwin Road down during the recent storm.
They're among a total of 39 trees which the council's been trying to get permission to fell because of age and vulnerability to wind.
The Housing and Property Committee says it follows cases earlier this year where falling trees caused serious damage to social housing.
