Numerous emergency road closures will be in place across the Island later today as Storm Brendan is set to batter Manx shores.
The Department of Infrastructure says the decision comes following an assessment of expected coastal overtopping and high winds.
Douglas Promenade (Broadway to Port Jack), Castletown Promenade (Hango Hill to Bridge Street), Shore Road in Gansey and Laxey Promenade will all be shut from 11.30am until 4pm.
However, the DOI says if conditions improve some or all of these roads may be reopened earlier.
Between 12pm and 4pm all high sided vehicles will also be prohibited from travelling on the Mountain Road between Ramsey and Douglas.
