Elite cycling competition begins today

An elite cycling competition will descend on the Island today.

The Manx International is forming stage eight of the 2019 HSBC UK National Mens Road Series, running until Sunday.

The first stage will take place at the IOM Business Park tonight with Cooil Road, Ballacottier Road and Ballacottier Estate Road closing to traffic between 6.30pm and 10pm.

It's the first of four stages of the event, with the other three taking place on the Sloc Road, Billown Course and TT course across Saturday and Sunday.
