The fire service evacuated 11 people from a house fire in Douglas during the early hours of this morning.
The emergency service pointed out they'd been woken up thanks to smoke alarms, adding the family were alive today due to the fact they had working ones installed.
Crews arrived at the property in Cronk-y-berry at around 2:00am after reports of a blaze on the ground floor, with two teams searching the smoke-filled floors above.
All of the residents had made it out, with several then treated for smoke inhalation by ambulance crews and taken to hospital for checks.
