Education during the Covid-19 lockdown and an independent report into the department will be discussed by a Tynwald committee next week.
Education Minister, Dr Alex Allinson MHK, and DESC Interim Chief Executive, Graham Kinrade, will give evidence to the Social Affairs Policy Review Committee on Monday morning.
The session will see the panel look into a report by independent consultants, Beamans, which looked into the relationship between the DESC and Island schools.
The report, published on September 23, concluded the relationship between schools and the department was 'fractured and must be repaired'.
Committee members also want to look at the response plan from the Council of Ministers to the report's findings as well as how education was offered to students during the Coronavirus lockdown.
Meanwhile, the evidence gathering session will get underway on Monday at Legislative Buildings in Douglas from 10.30am with members of the public welcome to attend.
