Economic Development Minister John Shimmin has spoken to 3FM about the decision to appoint a new head of e-gaming.
It was announced in Tynwald on Tuesday that Tim Craine will be stepping upto the role after 10 years in the industry.
It came as a surprise given that just last month Minister Shimmin announced to 3FM that a 5 person team would be charged with overseeing the flourishing sectors development and with the top job remaining vacant for the foreseeable future.
Tim had been line manager for previous head Garth Kimber; he is able to now take full responsibility for the role after he was freed up from a number of his other commitments within the Department.
Minister Shimmin said he feels they now have the best team in place to drive e-gaming forward:(PLAY AUDIO ABOVE)
