The Island's food outlets could soon have to tell customers about their food hygiene, if plans are given the green light by Tynwald members.
New catering regulations will be laid before the court when it sits this month, changing the rules about hygiene inspections.
Under the proposals, eateries would have to display stickers with a score from zero to five after inspectors visit the premises.
The scheme is similar to one in the UK which sees scores made publicly available to consumers.
