A UK airline has stepped in to replace services after Citywing went into liquidation last week.
Citywing announced the move on Friday saying it had struggled to survive after its operator Van Air had its Civil Aviation Authority licence suspended.
Now Eastern Airways will return to the Island, after a gap of eight years, to fly routes to Newcastle and Belfast City.
The flights will start this morning - Eastern will offer daily weekday services from the Island using 29-seat Jetstream 41 aircraft.
