Peel's to get a new lifeboat two years early.
The RNLI says Peel lifeboat station will get its new Shannon class lifeboat in 2019, rather than in 2021 as originally planned.
The lifesaving organisation says the £2.2m vessel will replace the Ruby Clery, which marked 25 years in service this year.
The new boat works using waterjets instead of propellers, and has a top speed of 25 knots - its design also means it can operate in shallow waters and be beached intentionally.
