The wife of Robin Gibb has made a global plea which looks set to greatly benefit a local charity.
Robin passed away in a London clinic after a long and hard fought battle with colon and liver cancer, with his death leading to an outpouring of grief and tributes from his legion of fans.
Wife Dwina is now asking that in place of flowers could donations be made to the Rebecca House Hospice based at Nobles Hospital.
The facility had particular relevance to the couple, who officially opened it back in 2008.
