Dusty the hitchhiking cat's great journey comes to end

A hitchhiking cat has returned home to her family on the island after an accidental trip to Devon.  

Dusty the Cat, who has her own Facebook page and is well-known for visiting Noble's Hospital, jumped into a van and ended up travelling hundreds of miles without the driver realising she was there. 

She then spent a week in a cattery in the UK. 

Now the Steam Packet Company, which offered free travel following an online fundraiser to bring her home, announced that Dusty has successfully made the crossing back.
