The Douglas Harbour Master and a local charity rescued 10 ducklings after their mum was killed earlier this week.
Volunteers from the Manx Wild Bird Aid tried to save the baby birds from the harbour, but say they were drifting further away and too far out in the water.
The charity says 'the kind offer of a boat saved the day.'
