A kitchen worker sacked for getting drunk, making unwanted advances towards a colleague and getting into a scuffle before being thrown out by bouncers wasn't unfairly dismissed, a tribunal's found.
Martin Morris took JAK Ltd to a hearing after being sacked for gross misconduct from Jaks Bar & Smokehouse on Loch Promenade after the drunken incident in May.
The hearing was told he'd been in the job just three months, had been given a written warning, had let the tyres of a coworker's bike down and was regarded as "a menace".
Morris accepted the circumstances which led to his sacking but argued the dismissal process was too quick.
However, the tribunal found the company had followed all relevant processes properly and dismissed the claim.
