A drunken cyclist who crashed into a gate during TT has been given a conditional discharge after a court heard he's due to be kicked off the Island this month.
39 year old Krists Bergmanis of Marine Parade in Peel admitted being drunk in public on June 10 after police found him on Braddan Road in Braddan at 5pm.
The Latvian was drunk and asked officers for help after hitting the gate on his bike.
Bergmanis is due to leave the Island on June 18 after losing two appeals against an exclusion order imposed for a string of previous alcohol-related crimes earlier this year.
For his latest offence, Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood imposed a 12 month conditional discharge.
