Inmates at the Isle of Man Prison are no longer being drug tested.
It’s because the Department of Home Affairs doesn't have the necessary legislation in place to order prisoners to give a urine sample.
The samples which are deemed ‘intimate’ show up whether a person has used a controlled substance.
The department says the anomaly came to light during a routine review of its custody legislation.
