Drug importer warned he faces lengthy sentence

A man who admitted importing more than £56,000 worth of heroin to the Isle of Man has been warned he faces a lengthy prison sentence.

50-year-old Liam Flanagan - who's from Douglas - appeared before the Court of General Gaol Delivery at Douglas Courthouse on Monday. 
 
He's previously pleaded guilty to producing the Class A drug, attempting to possess heroin with intent to supply and possession of cannabis. 
 
Police seized 563 grams of heroin on December 7th following a three day investigation
 
Appearing before Deemster Montgomerie Flanagan was remanded in custody while he awaits sentencing on February 24th.
 
The court heard he had previous drugs convictions with the Deemster telling him: "It's bad news for you to be here again - very bad news."
