The Island's legal aid bill has fallen for the first time in in four years.
When Tynwald sits later this month, members will see the Isle of Man Legal Aid Committee's report for the past 12 months.
In it, the body says last year the total amount of civil and criminal legal aid paid was £3,662,734 - down around £250,000 on the previous year.
The figures show legal aid in criminal cases accounted for a total of £2,433,707.
