Driver who crashed ambulance into tree pleads not guilty

A man has denied driving without due care and attention after crashing a St John Ambulance vehicle into a tree.

Kenneth Blackburn, of Westbourne Drive in Douglas, appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood at Douglas Courthouse.

The 63-year-old St John Ambulance bank worker pleaded not guilty to the offence after the incident on South Drive in Strang.

He was bailed in the sum of £500 until he appears again on July 16.
