More than a third of drivers who faced trial in summary courts last year weren't convicted.
A freedom of information request revealed six of 16 motorists who denied a crime in magistrates or Deputy High Bailiff's court were acquitted.
Two cases were dismissed and four drivers were found not guilty.
The offences included drink driving, taking a vehicle without consent, driving with no insurance, and driving while using a mobile phone.
