A driver who hit a cyclist has been fined and banned after a court heard his victim suffered a number of injuries.
26-year-old Conor Mark Caley, of Y Vaarney Yiarg in Castletown, appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood at Douglas Courthouse.
He admitted causing serious bodily harm by careless driving on February 7.
The hearing was told the rider spent two days in hospital after suffering a broken rib and injuries to his shoulder and knee.
Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood fined Caley £1,650, banned him from the roads for a year and ordered him to pay £50 costs.
