A woman who drank vermouth and vodka before getting behind the wheel was caught after a witness followed her home and called 999.
Naomi Callister of Sound Road in Cregneash appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 49 year old admitted a single count of drink-driving on July 20 this year.
Prosecutor Rebecca Cubbon told the hearing a woman followed Callister’s black Hyundai Terracan at around 7pm - watching in horror as Callister weaved across the road into oncoming traffic.
The other driver then called police when Callister parked outside her home - when officers arrived two people had to help her down the stairs from her bedroom, and at police headquarters she turned out to be more than three times the legal limit.
Two pop bottles of booze were found hidden in her clothing.
Magistrates bailed her in the sum of £250 while probation reports are prepared and she’ll appear again for sentencing on December 12.
