The Island's capital is moving ahead with plans to twin with Ireland's capital city.
In the past Douglas Council said it wanted a civic relationship with Dublin, but hadn't specified what that would be.
However, a meeting of the executive committee says a twinning arrangement would bring the most benefits to both cities.
The committee voted to push ahead with the twinning application process.
