A teenager has been given a conditional discharge after a drunken assault on her housemate.
Brooke Leanne Skillicorn of Tynwald Road in Douglas appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 18-year-old student pleaded guilty to a single count of assault at her former home on Springfield Road in Douglas on January 15.
Prosecutor Hazel Carroon told the hearing Skillicorn was drunk when she became abusive and aggressive - the woman she was living with asked her to leave and she responded by kicking and punching her.
The woman fled and called police, who found Skillicorn obviously drunk.
After hearing Skillicorn’s only income was £85 a week in income support benefits, magistrates granted her a 12-month conditional discharge.
She was also ordered to pay £125 costs.
