Sea swimmers in Douglas will soon have a new raft to dive from.
At a meeting of the city's council yesterday, members considered a report on a new bathing raft proposed for the beach.
The raft will be installed using anchor blocks opposite the Empress Hotel.
Members had been worried about nearby dog fouling, but a report says despite that area being accessible to dogs after 5pm, it's unlikely to have any effect on bathers.
