A new headteacher has been appointed at a primary school in Douglas.
Donna Martin takes up the post at St Marys Catholic Primary School based on Somerset Road.
She takes over from Tim Short who retired due to ill health after 34 years at the school and eight of those in his role as head.
Mrs Martin says she's she wants to build on the schools strengths and 'lead the school in the next chapter of its journey achieving inspirational outcomes'.
A new extension which is being rebuilt there is due to be finished in September.
