A Santa Dash through Douglas will be taking place this year, courtesy of Nedgroup Investments.
The company will host the occasion on Wednesday, December 16, which will follow a similar route taking in the promenade and finishing on Finch Road in a course around one mile long.
Bar George will be used as Race Headquarters for registration and after the run there will be refreshments served.
Nedgroup Managing Director, Andrew Lodge, says: "The Santa Dash is always fun and charities are the main beneficiaries which is so important this year as many have lost out with fund raising events being cancelled.
"Since we floated the idea of hosting the event everyone has been so positive & helpful, from the IOM Government, The Promenade Development Team through to St John’s Ambulance."
The event will comply with IOM Government rules on Covid 19 and could be subject to change if there are changes to the current guidelines.
Entry fee for it will be £5 with all donations going to the IOM Childrens Centre and Reach IOM - a dedicated Facebook page to enter is expected to be launched shortly.
